Ensuring Security and Peace of Mind: Choosing the Right Home Watch Provider

In the realm of home watch services, the safeguarding of your information and keys is paramount for ensuring the security of your home. When entrusting someone to care for your property, it's crucial to pose the following questions during the selection process:

1. Are you insured, bonded, and criminally background-checked?

2. How do you handle and store sensitive information like security codes and garage access?

3. What are your procedures for the secure storage and handling of keys?

4. How do you manage any collected mail?

At Snowbird Home Watch, we prioritize the protection of our clients' data and the security of their homes. Here's an insight into the safeguards and best practices we have implemented:

1. Comprehensive Security Measures:

  • Snowbird Home Watch is fully insured, bonded, and conducts thorough criminal background checks on all employees. Our insurance and bond policies cover all team members, and we are more than willing to provide you with copies of these documents upon request.

2. Advanced Data Security:

  • Upon onboarding a new client, we meticulously gather information through an extensive client and property profile. This data is securely stored using HomeWatch IT, a cloud-based software. We input all details into this platform to perform visit reports, ensuring that no sensitive information is carried during our home visits. Original paperwork is stored in a locked safe. Access information is password-protected on our secure company laptop and HomeWatch IT.

3. Key Management:

  • Clients are requested to provide two sets of keys if required for property access. One set is securely stored in a locked safe, while the other is used for entering the house. Each key is tagged with a numerical code, void of any identifiable information.

4. Mail Handling Protocol:

  • A meticulous discussion on mail handling procedures is conducted during the onboarding process. Upon receiving mail, we capture photos of the envelope, forwarding them via text or our visit report. Clients are consulted on any necessary actions regarding the mail, and if none are specified, we store it in the designated area discussed.

Choosing the right home watch provider is crucial for the security and well-being of your unoccupied home. At Snowbird Home Watch, we understand the significance of these considerations and ensure that your property is in safe and reliable hands. Don't entrust your keys to just anyone; choose a provider that prioritizes your security and peace of mind.
