National Home Watch Association announces the 2nd annual National Home Watch Month

Snowbird Home Watch is pleased to announce its participation in the 2nd Annual National Home Watch Month, taking place in March 2024. According to estimates, there are as many as 10 million second and vacation homes in the U.S. and Canada, with many snowbirds in our area escaping the winter cold. Home Watch is a risk mitigation service that visits the unoccupied properties of anyone who leave their homes for extended periods of time. Home Watch professionals report any issues they find, thereby reducing insurance claims and undiscovered damage.

NHWA Founder and Executive Director, Jack Luber, shares this: “There are close to three million second homes in the US. They represent trillions of dollars in real estate that goes unchecked unless the homeowner employs a Home Watch professional. With an increase of severe weather across the continent, along with hurricanes and tropical storms wreaking havoc on unoccupied homes, insurance providers are suffering tremendous losses and becoming insolvent. Home Watch is a risk mitigation service that may reduce the number of claims and losses involving second homes.”

Snowbird Home Watch is an NHWA Accredited Member in the Northeast metro area of the Twin Cities and we are proud to raise awareness of the importance of the home watch industry. Some of the cities we serve: North Oaks, White Bear Lake, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, Arden Hills, Dellwood, Mahtomedi, Lino Lakes, Hugo, Blaine, Roseville, Oakdale, Maplewood, Gem Lake, Centerville, Circle Pines, Little Canada, Lino Lakes, New Brighton, and surrounding areas.

The National Home Watch Association vets and accredits Home Watch  companies throughout North America.
